Senior Session with Abby | Class of 2023 | Knoxville, TN | Kaitlin Grace Images

Abby is a senior at Lenior City High School. This was such a special session because I got to work with her mom for a couple years before I stepped away from teaching.

I have gotten the opportunity since I left teaching to keep up with this sweet family through taking their family photos. I felt so honored when they reached out and asked if I could do Abby's senior photos! My first thought was, "I can't believe Abby is a senior!" Time seriously flies by so fast!

As soon as Abby showed me inspiration photos for her senior session I knew where we had to go, Meads Quarry, to the beautiful rock structures! We spent her entire session at this location because it really was the perfect background for Abby's dream session.

We took a hike to Ross Marble Stone, and seriously when we arrived we were all in awe with how perfect this background looked to match Abby's dramatic vision with her vibrant red dress. It was a crazy hike and Abby was a champ doing it in her heels. It was all so worth it!

Once we got done, we hiked back towards the front of the park for two more outfit changes. I loved how Abby wanted to incorporate props that really showed off her personality! If you know me you know how big this year I have gotten into reading, so when Abby talked about bringing all her favorite books I was so excited to create some of these shots for her!

Abby's love for theater and literature really shined through her session. After graduation, Abby wants to become an English teacher. Which I absolutely love because when she told me that, her mama's face lit up knowing that she wanted to carry on the love for teaching and being an impact in student's lives just like her. Abby's whole passion for theater and literature sounded like it really came from a teacher that has inspired her greatly. I can't wait to see all the lives that Abby is going to inspire as she becomes a teacher!
