Senior Session with Kacee | Class of 2023 | Knoxville, TN | Kaitlin Grace Images

Kacee is a senior at Lenior City High School and when I met with her at our planning consult I could already tell I was loving what she was dreaming up for her session! Kacee is absolutely precious. She has the cutest bubbly personality, we had so much fun with different posing that could really display that! Umm and check out her "runway walk" photos because she crushed it! Like someone put her on the cover of a magazine!

For Kacee's locations she chose downtown Knoxville and The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farms. Two locations that are some of my favorites! A few weeks before her session date, she sent me photos of the outfits that she had picked out. For every senior I create a mood board where we can both look at the locations with the outfit choices to see which outfit she would wear to what location. I don't know about you, but I am very visual and this tool helps me and my seniors be on the same page when envisioning their dream session.

So here are some things to think about when trying to decided which outfit to wear at each location based on these two locations.

For downtown, you can take on several different looks, which makes it such a great location for variety! Key elements to think about when deciding on an outfit might be distressed jeans and leather fabric for more of an edgy look, bright/bold colored dresses or white jeans for a preppy style, or a casual chic style that is effortless but mixes in a dressy element with something a little more casual. Kacee's downtown outfit was the perfect fit for that casual style look. Her black leather skort with her cute comfy sweater top was an excellent pairing to show off her style while also being comfortable! And let's not forget her adorable black booties that matched so well and were perfect for the season!

Hunter Valley Farms is very unique and fun to shoot at because you can be in an open field lined with a rustic wooden fence on one side then walk a few steps over and enjoy their gorgeous water view on their white sandy beach!

Let's start with Kacee's field look! Any field location you can take on multiple looks like country chic, your effortless casual chic, or take it to another level and have a dressy glam style! The most popular in a open field, (especially with that long wooden fence) is that country chic look! Key elements for this style would be a flowy dress, jeans, jean shorts, cute blouse and of course to top it all off a cute pair of boots! I was obsessed with Kacee's dress for this location! It was a flowy dress with a pattern that complimented all the fall colors beautifully and she paired it with, one of my favorites, tall white cowboy boots! Southern fall photo dreams right here!

Now let's move on to our toes in the sand, well let's pretend that our toes are in the sand because it was fall and it was cold. We shifted our look and moved onto the beach side of the venue. Always take posing into consideration when choosing your outfits. You are probably going to be sitting, squatting, and moving a lot so being comfortable in your outfit is KEY! Casual chic is the perfect style for the beach because it gives that effortless cute comfy style. This look really lets you be yourself and wear what makes you feel comfortable. Kacee's bell bottom jeans with a comfy sweater really gives us the vibes that she is somewhere on a beach during the colder months taking photos in the sunset!

I loved reliving Kacee's session at her preview party because it felt like we hopped on a plane and traveled to different places to get this much of a variety! And we only went to two spots right here in Knoxville!

It was such a pleasure working with Kacee and making her dream session come true! It's her senior year and she has worked so hard, so she deserves nothing less than to feel celebrated and beautiful! I can't wait to see all the amazing things she takes on in life!
